We are mother Erja and daughter Inka Luomanmäki from Helsinki, Finland. Our prefix Iosono is Italian and it means "I am" in English. The Iosono prefix was recognized by FCI in September 18, 2000 on Inka's birthday! All of our dogs are living as family members and most of them live in their own families.
When Erja was young her family had a boxer called Tani (Tanith von der Nutzen) who was according to Erja the most clever and cutest dog in the world. Tani had two litters. Then Inka was born in the beginning of the 1980's and there were no dogs in the family at that time. But Inka insisted having a dog already in a very young age but without results. Then in 1996-1997 Inka got interested in a breed called Cirneco dell'Etna and she contacted a couple of Cirneco owners in Finland. Suddenly also Erja fell love in the Cirnechi and she finally decided to have one to Inka's joy. With the help of Christine Löfgren (owner of Lansmarte the first male cirneco on Finland), a little kangaroo-alike puppy Bambi (lately titled as INT & FIN & S & EST Ch FIN LCH FIN RCH EUJW-98 JWW-98 ESTW-00 VMM-03 VMR-04) aka "Jazi" arrived to Finland in autumn 1997. Jazi was bred by Domenico Tricomi (Bergamo, Italy). We have learnt a lot about the Cirnechi from Domenico Tricomi and Jane Moore (they are nowadays breeding Cirnechi together with affix "Hadranensis"). Inka has done several trips to Italy and has enjoyed the hospitality of Jane Moore and her family while staying in Italy. Also, we are very thankful for all Jane's and Domenico's help with assisting us with our breeding programme.
Jazi was the dog who introducted the dog world to us. We did lure coursing, track racing, agility and dog shows with her. Besides this, she is our foundation bitch and she is behind of all Iosono dogs at the moment. She has two litters, Iosono A and M litters and dogs such as Iosono Aida di Verdi (Iosono I and Q litters), Iosono Michelangelo (Iosono R litter and Vespinja's B litter), Iosono Mea della Mea (Iosono D litter), and Iosono Milla Magia (foundation bitch at kennel Colombian Friend's and Kimblewick) are continuing her legacy with many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Jazi lives a retired and a happy spoiled pet life at Inka's father.
 Seela the Italian Greyhound & Erja In 1999 we fell in love with Italian Greyhounds and decided to purchase one from Necku kennel (owned by Teija Urpelainen & Jaana Urpelainen-Reuna, Finland). We got the most aloveable lapdog, FIN Ch Necku C'est Cela aka "Seela". Seela unexpectedly passed away four days after she gave birth to five puppies in November 2003. We couldn't think life without an Italian Greyhound and decided to have one of the puppies. Daughter of Seela, Necku Iosono Verona aka Nala (bred by Teija Urpelainen, kennel Necku), moved to Erja and since then she has been Erja's pride and joy being very similar "kissing machine" as her mother was. Nowadays Erja also has little IG Jemma, Iosono Fiamma, keeping company to Nala. Inka has been very active in the breed club for the Cirnechi and the IGs (Finnish Italian Greyhound & Cirneco dell'Etna Club). She was one of the foundation members when the club was founded in 1999. Inka has been a member of board since the foundation of the Club and she has been a vice president since 2004. Inka belongs to the breeding, show and racing committees. Erja belongs to the show committee. We breed Cirnechi and Igs only in a small scale. We only breed when we want something to continue in our breeding programme. All of our breeding stock is officially health tested with eyes & knees. We have bred six Cirneco litters and one Italian Greyhound litter.
