Eye examinations
Iosono Milla Magia had official eye examination and her eyes are clear. Also Iosono Michelangelo's daughter Vespinja's Bonassola has clear eyes in official eye examination.
Cirneco puppies expected in February
We are expecting Cirneco puppies to be born around 10th February, 2007. The sire is handsome Vespinja's Bronte who is the son of our dear Miki. The dam of the litter will be Iosono Aida di Verdi. More information of the puppies in the puppies site.

Finnish Winner 2006 show
Finnish Winner Show was held during the last weekend. Siri, Iosono Incredibile did well, she was Best female 4th with reserve-CACIB, which will be confirmed to CACIB. According to preliminary calculations Siri became the Top Cirneco 2006! Huge congratulations to owner Mia, we are so proud of you two!

Ida and her owners visited Vienna last weekend. Ida stayed with us and she and Miki were so happy to meet each other after three long months. Ida of course visited her father Peppone and they had fun together. Here are a couple of photos of Ida & Peppone.

Wels International Show, Austria 2.12.2006
Me, Martti, Iosono Michelangelo and our Finnish friend Ninni travelled to Wels from Vienna by train. We participated in a dog show and also did some tourism in the beautiful city of Wels. There were three Cirnechi entered in the show for Heidi Kirschbichler. Our Miki was BOB with his third Austrian CAC and CACIB. Now we will have a little break from the shows and we'll concentrate on tourism and studying of course. And in two weeks we are going to Finland for Christmas. Below some photos from the Wels show.

Iosono Aida di Verdi's eyes were checked today (23.11.2006) and they were clear and healthy!

There were no dogs from us in the show but two Miki's kids were entered: BOB ja BIS-4-junior Vespinja's Bonassola, and BOS Vespinja's Bronte! Huge congrats to the owners, we are so proud of Miki's progeny! The judge was Cristian Vantu and there were six Cirnechi.
World Winner Show, Poland 9.-12.11.2006: Miki became Vice-World Winner 2006 and Champion of Poland!
Short news from the World Winner Show. Iosono Michelangelo won the Champion Class and he became Champion of Poland and he gained res-CACIB. Miki has also won res-CACIB in European Winner Show last summer in Helsinki so he could be called Vice World & European Winner 2006. :-) In Intermediate Class Iosono Incredibile won the first place and she gained certificate. The judge was Javier Sanchez Fernandez.

Excellent day to Iosono dogs and Miki's beautiful progeny: BOB & CAC Miki's daughter Vespinja's Biancavilla, BOS with CAC Vespinja's Bronte, Best Male 2 & CACIB Iosono Il Re, Best Female 4 with res-CACIB Iosono Incredibile and Iosono Aida di Verdi became 2nd with excellent in Champon Class. The judge was Agneta Kappers from Sweden.

Thank you Annikki Peltola (Vespinja's) for our two new-comers! Ninja, Vespinja's Cara Mia Iosono, is out of Vespina's last litter and she is sired by IT Ch Argo. Ninja is lives with her half brother Roope and the Skurniks family in Helsinki. Coco aka Vespinja's Delightful is Vespina's granddaughter. She lives with Linda & Jarkko Ijäs in Southern Finland. Good luck to families Skurnik and Ijäs with our puppies!
Oulun International Show 7.10.2006
Inka flew to Finland for Oulu International Show and also in order to bring one of Vespina's puppies to Helsinki. The trip to Oulu started during the Friday-Saturday night at 2 o'clock when we left for Oulu together with the Skurniks family. We had three dogs with us: Roope and IG twins Ida & Nala. There were four Miki-puppies entered in Oulu: Roope, Rontti (Vespinja's Bronte), Sylvi (Vespinja's Bonassola) ja Bianca (Vespinja's Biancavilla). All of them did great, Rontti was Best Male with CAC, Roope Best Male 2 with res-CAC and with first CACIB and Sylvi took the BOB win with CAC. Bianca was Best Female 2 with res-CAC. We are so happy for the great success of Miki-babies! There were 15 IGs entered and Ida gained 3rd place with excellent in Open Class. After the show we drove to Annikki for the puppies (about that trip read above). Thank you Skurniks for your nice company during the long trip!

Tulln (Austria), Bundessieger 30.9. and ÖKV betreute Rassen national show 1.10.2006
On Saturday we participated in Austrian Bundessieger (Winner) show and on Sunday in ÖKV betreute Rassen national show with Iosono Michelangelo. Miki was BOB with CACA, CACIB and Bundessieger 2006 title. Thanks Saveria & Peppone for the ride to the show on Saturday!
On Sunday was held the ÖKV betreute Rassen show and our judge Marianne Baden came from Denmark. Miki was once again BOB with his second CACA.

Lure coursing competition in Helsinki 30.9.2006
Iosono Romulus participated in the first lure coursing competition of him. He did very well, he was second out of three Cirnechi with super points of 230 + 225 = 255p. Congratulations the Skurniks!!!

Greetings from Vienna
Hello from sunny Vienna. We have tried to spend our time by walking in the center of Vienna, in Ikea, in restaurants etc. And we have taken Miki with us everywhere. A two-week-long German Intensive Course is behind and our studies are starting soon in the University.

Helsinki national show 2.-3.9.2006
This was my last show in Finland because we are moving to Vienna, Austria (except in a month I'm heading back to Finland for a show ;-)). We had a great weekend: The IGs (12) were judged by Tom Mathers, GB. Ida, Necku Iosono Vicenza gained CAC and ended up Best Female 2nd right after Soltar's Unbelievable. On the next day Iosono Michelangelo was Best Male 2, Iosono Romulus Best Male 4 and Iosono Incredibile Best Female 2nd with res-CAC. Iosono Milla Magia's son Colombian Friend's Golden Gift was BOB and Iosono Michelangelo's son Vespinja's Bisacquino Best Male 3 with res-CAC. The Cirnechi were judged by Torbjörn Skaar, Sweden.

Keno, Necku Iosono Monopoli won the competition with super points of 517 and gained his 2nd LC CAC.

Cirneco puppies born at kennel Vespinja's
Inka's and Vespina's trip to Italy in June produced four beautiful puppies, all girls on the 15th of August! Thank you Arturo and Paola for the hospitality both in June and in July!! The sire of the puppies is a handsome Argo. A week later was born another litter, 4 males and 2 females to Vespinja's Azalea, sired by Giltedged Implication". All the puppies have found their own homes.

Tallinn, Estonian Winner show 20.8.2006
A huge congratulations to Iosono Milla Magia's progeny: Colombian Friend's Golden Gift BOB and C. F. Golden Colombia BOS at Tallinn (Estonia) and a day before in Kouvola (Finland). Iosono Milla Magia was shown only in child and dog competition together with Ida Isaksson and they won it! Congratulatiosn Ida and proud mother Marina!

Iosono Michelangelo's progeny is doing well once again: daughter Vespinja's Biancavilla was BOB with CAC in Sotkamo and son Vespinja's Bronte was BOB with CAC and finally Group 3rd! And only at the age of 10 months!

8 Cirnechi and 49 IGs were entered for Dan Grönlund, Sweden. Iosono Incredibile was BOB and BIS-2, Iosono Mea della Mea was Best Female 2nd and Iosono Aida di Verdi Best Female 3. Iosono Romulus was Best Male 2 and his sire Iosono Michelangelo Best Male 3. Iosono Il Re was first one in Intermediate Class. In Italian Greyhounds Necku Iosono Vicenza was 2nd in big Open Class and she was chosen among 7 best females. Our breeder's group was BIS2 and Mea&Miki BIS2 brace.

Vespina gained her first LC-CAC at the age of 7 years! In Italian Greyhounds Necku Iosono Monopoli became 2nd with CQ and (Necku Iosono Venezia) won with CAC and gained DVM-06 title.

Wow what a day we had! 5 male and 2 female Cirnechi were judged by Vitor Veiga from Portugal and Miki aka Iosono Michelangelo was BOB! Iosono Il Re Best male 4 with res-CAC, Iosono Romulus excellent in Junior Class and Iosono Incredibile Best Female 2 with res-CAC. Our breeder's group was BOB.
We also had success with Ida the IG. There were 22 IGs under judge Bitte Ahrens (Sobers) and Ida aka Necku Iosono Vicenza was Best Female 3.

7 Cirnechi participated in the competition. In the first run Miki ran very well but in the finals he lost the lure for the first time in his life.

15.6.2006 Jazi 9 years old today!
Jazi our first Cirneco dell'Etna is 9 years today! Our biggest thanks of course go to Jazi's breeders Domenico Tricomi and Jane Moore and big thanks also to Christine Löfgren (without you we wouldn't have got Jazi) and my father who keeps such a good care of her!
14.6.2006 health tests for Nala and Ida
Nala, Necku Iosono Verona, and Ida, Necku Iosono Vicenza, were health checked officially: they both had clear eyes (no signs of PRA, HD or RD) and patellas were healthy (0/0).
10.6.2006 European Winner Show 2006 in Helsinki
This show was surely one of the biggest shows in Europe, 10 000 dogs had been entered. The judge for the Cirnechi dell'Etna (14) was Blaz Kavcic from Slovenia. Our biggest star was Iosono Aida di Verdi who won CACIB and European Winner 2006. Iosono Michelangelo got res-CACIB. Iosono Milla Magia's son Colombian Friend's Go For Gold and daughter Colombian Friend's Go For Goldgained European Junior Winner titles. Our breeder's group was BOB. Congratulations especially to Birgitta & Venla and Marina for Eetu's and Goldy's titles! The whole results can be seen here
In Italian Greyhounds BOB (and European Winner) was beautiful Sobers Gilda (bred & owned by Bitte Ahrens, Italy/Sweden) and European Winner (males) was handsome Un Diamand Noir des Princes de Kazan.

Iosono Michelangelo was BOB, Iosono Isis got VG. Judge was Alfredo Alessandri from Italy. In Italian greyhounds Ida, Necku Iosono Vicenza, won the Open Class with excellent under Jelena Kruus, Estonia.
27.5.2006 lure coursing competition in Espoo
Nala was fifth with points 177+221=398 points, her brother Keno was 4th with 408 points and CQ.
21.5.2006 Rauma national show
Iosono Michelangelo was once again BOB, Sara got VG. Judge was Hanne Laine Jensen. In Italian Greyhounds, Necku Iosono Vicenza, was BOB with certificate under Tuula Savolainen.
20.5.2006 Helsinki International Show
Iosono Michelangelo was BOB with CACIB. Sara, Iosono Isis was shown for the first time in dog show and she was BOS with CAC and CACIB. Iosono Romulus got VG. The judge was Boris Spoljaric, Croatia. In group ring Miki made a cut. In Italian Greyhounds Ida, Necku Iosono Vicenza, was Best Female 4th with reserve-certificate under judge Martha Heine from Germany.
14.5.2006 Mikkeli lure coursing competition
Iosono Incredibile participated in the first LC competition of hers and she won with huge points 503 (246+257 p) and gained first certificate. Iosono Michelangelo became 2nd with 449 points and CQ.

Iosono Michelangelo participated in the show and he was BOB with CACIB. It had almost been 3 years since he was earlier shown in official shows here in Finland (time flies!!)! Miki's niece Pilvi (Colombian Friend's Golden Colombia) was BOS and nephew Eetu (C. F. Golden Gift) Best Male 2. Miki's son Iosono Romulus was in Junior Class for the first time with very good. The judge was Otto Schimpf from Austria.

Tampere International show 19.3.2006:
22 IGs were entered and only 4 dogs gained excellent under judge Iren Naarits. Ida, Necku Iosono Vicenza, was 3rd in Open Class with very good. However, she got an excellent critique. By the way, the same judge made our Seela Finnish Champion some years ago.

Iosono Michelangelos became a father
The first litter was born in May (2 males: Iosono Romulus ja Iosono Remus) 2005 and the second one in October at Vespinja's kennel (3 males & 2 females).
We did only a couple of shows during the 2005 due to Inka's University studies which kept her busy. Iosono Mea della Mea went only to three shows during the year of 2005 with excellent results:
- Best of Breed and Best in Show 2nd at our specialty show
- Best of Breed and Nordic Winner at Nordic Winner Show
- Best Female 3rd at the Finnish Winner Show
Iosono Il Re was BOB and BIS-2 puppy at our specialty and he gained the first CC of his at the age of 9 months and Finnish Junior Winner 2005 title. Iosono Incredibile was Best Female 2nd out of 8 females and gained Nordic Junior Winner title and first CC at Nordic Winne show.
Seela's IG puppies were active during the year: Our Nala participated only in one lure coursing competition and exceeded right away the magic limit 500 and became the 2nd out of 6 IGs. Nala's sister Noppa Necku Iosono Venezia gained 2 CCs from the shows and 1 CC from lure coursing competition by achieving the point record of the IGs with 531 points. Necku Iosono Monopoli gained CC from LC competition as well. Beautiful Necku Iosono Vicenza visited a couple of shows with Inka during the 2005.
Congratulations to Colombian Friend's gang: Iosono Milla Magia's son Kimblewick Hypnos won the Show Cirneco competition in Finland and Milla was 2nd best female in the list. Milla became Russian Champion as well in 2005. Also, she whelped a litter in Colombian Friend's kennel in April 2005.
