  • Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you our puppy buyers and friends for this very nice year of 2004!

  • Our long-awaited Cirneco puppies were born 19.12.2004. Venla gave birth to one male and four females. More about the puppies on the puppy site.

  • Milla's International Champion title has been confirmed by FCI.

  • Swedish Winner Show in Stockholm 11.12.2004: BOB Vespina's puppy Azalea with CAC, CACIB and Swedish Winner 2004 title. Vespina herself was Best Female 2. There were two males and three females in the show. Congratulations Annikki!

  • One of the biggest dog shows was held in Helsinki 4. - 5.12.2004 with 8700 entries. It was naturally Finnish Winner show. Total of 11 participants of the Cirnechi - the record of this year - were in the show. There were only two dogs with Iosono affix entered. Milla was Best bitch for the second year in a row and finally BOB! Milla's sister Mea was Best Female 2 with res-CACIB. Vespina was 3rd excellent in Champion Class. Vespina's daughter Sohvi (Azalea) was Best Female 3 with certificate. Milla's male puppy Tuffe (Kimblewick Hypnos) won the Junior Class gaining Junior Winner title and certificate. BOS was always so handsome Lansmarte. Judge was Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari.

    November 2004

  • Sohvi aka Azalea (Vespina's beautiful daughter) was again BOB, this time in Norwegian Winner show in Hamar. Sohvi gained CAC, CACIB and Norwegian Winner title. There were 4 Cirnechi under judge Bitte Ahrens. :)

  • Venla's International Champion title has been confirmed by FCI! :)

  • Azalea was BOB with first foreign CACIB, CAC and Nordic Winner title in Denmark. 3 Cirnechi were in the show.



    • October 2004


  • Jazi sends greetings from middle Finland: Jazi with her best friend Pipsa the Golden Retviever and with Inka's sister Heidi.

  • Seinäjoki show weekend 23.-24.10.2004: Saturday 23rd October: Five Cirnechi were judged by Paula Rekiranta, Finland. Milla was the only one who got excellent and she was BOB. Milla's puppy Tuffe was BOB puppy. On the next day Giuseppe Alessandra was judging eight Cirnechi: Milla was BOS with CACIB. Venla was Best Female 2nd with res-CACIB. Milla's puppy Tuffe was again BOB puppy. Special congratulations to Marina!

  • Inka and Venla visited Italy in order to mate Venla to handsome Artù. We are expecting Cirneco dell'Etna puppies to be born in December. Artù's official name is Aetneus Ciccio. Artù lives a beloved pet life in his wonderful home in Northern Italy. More information about our upcoming litter on the puppy site or contact us.

  • 26.9. Eckerö national show in Åland, judged by Ana Beatriz Knoll: Milla was BOB and her puppy Tuffe (Kimblewick Hypnos) BOB puppy. Congrats Marina & co!

  • Two shows were held in the same day in Tampere. Milla was Best Female 2nd in Sighthound specialty and BOS in a group show for FCI 2&5. Vespina's daughter Sohvi was BOB in the sighthound specialty. Congrats to all!

  • The results of Porvoo national show 11.9: Milla Best Female 2nd and Vespina's beautiful daughter Sohvi BOB with CC. Ida was Best Female 4th out of six females judged by Australian judge Glenway Dymock

  • Super congrats to Annikki and Vespina's puppy Sohvi who participated in the first lure coursing competition of hers in Oravikoski 5.9. Sohvi gained the record points of 529! WOW!

    The long, heavy but givingful European trip is over. We came back to Finland with many shoppings bags, experiences and with new titles of dogs. We visited European capitals, other cities and villages. Of course a few shows were included in our trip. We also went to see Nala's father Peppone who lives in Vienna. Thank you Saveria for a interesting and lovely day in Vienna and also Erica and Chrisse for accommodation and nice company in Deggendorf in Germany . We were surprised how dog friendly area the Middle Europe was - dogs were allowed in restaurants and almost everywhere.

    So we had a great success in the dog shows: Mickey an Mea gained both last CACIBs for their International Champion titles!

      Norrköping national show, Sweden 14.8.2004 judged by Johan Juslin: Mickey BOB and Mea BOS. Both became Swedish Champions as well.

      Oslo International Show, Norway 15.8.2004, judged by Giuseppe Alessandra: Mickey BOB again and Mea BOS. Both gained CCs and CACIBs and Norwegian Champion titles. Mickey gained the last CACIB and he is now INT Ch (without FCI's approvement, yet) :-)

      Bratislava, Slovakia 22.8.2004: We travelled to Bratislava from Deggendorf and we had four dogs and three people. Our dog pack included Cirnechi Mickey and Mea and Italian Greyhounds Noppa and Kikka. Our Finnish team had such a succesful day. The Cirnechi were judged by Petr Rehanek from Czech Republic: Mea was BOB this time with CACIB and CC and she became INT CH!! Mickey gained CACIB and CAC, too. Mickey and Mea gained also Middle-East-European Winner titles. Beautiful Finnish born Rams (Giltedged Crybaby) won Junior Class and became Slovakian Junior Champion and Middle-East-European Junior Winner.
      The IGs were judged by Jose Cardobo de Silva Zeferino from Portugal: Noppa was shown for the first time and she was BOB junior with Junior CC and gained her first title Middle-East-European Junior Winner. Pretty good start. :) Kikka gained CACIB and CC and is now Middle-East-European Winner. Well done our Finnish team!!!

  • Mimi was BOS in Kouvola national show 28.8.

  • Milla was BOB with CACIB in Tallinn INT show in Estonia. Her puppy Tuffe (Kimblewick Hypnos) was greatly BIS2-puppy! Judge was Arne FOss. Well done Marina & the dogs!

  • Venlawas BOB at Ikaalinen 7th August, 2004.

  • Vespina competed in two lure coursing competitions in August and she gained CQ in both competitions.

  • Kuopio Sawo Show 2004
    There were two shows in Kuopion during a weekend (actually there was the third show in Friday but we didn't take part in it) 7. - 8.8. We entered Nala there. On Saturday she was third in Junior Class and on Sunday Best Female 4th with res-CC! :-) Milla was entered in the both shows and she was Best Female on the both days.


    Of course an IG is always under covers, no matter about the weather (it was a hot day). Nala and Inka's sister Heidi

    July 2004

  • Iosono Aida di Verdi was Best Bitch with CACIB at Pori International show 30th July under Unto Timonen.

  • Iosono Aida di Verdi was BOB with an excellent critique at Orivesi 17th July. Judge was Soile Bister. On the next day Venla was BOS at Ylivieska national show under Marjatta Pylvänäinen-Suorsa (Finland). Congrats Venla and the owners Pinki & Raimo!

  • Vespina competed for the first time in lure coursing competition and she was left only one point away CQ-limit which is 400 points. Vespina gained 399 points. However, well done our little Vespina! :-)

  • The Club Show 2004 of the Finnish Italian Greyhound & Cirneco dell'Etna Club
    The Annual specialty of IG & Cirneco Club was held in Helsinki 18th July. There were a record amount of IGs (42!) and Cirnechi (8!). The judge was Outi Piisi-Putta.

    Iosono Milla Magia was BOB and BIS-2 and she was BIS-prace together with her son Kimblewick Hypnos! Our breeder's group went BIS as well as Bambi's progeny group. Mickey was BOS. Our Bambi who has been on pension for several years was Best Female 2nd handled by Inka's sister Heidi. Perhaps "Jazi" should continue her show career - Heidi and Jazi were such a great couple and I have never seen Jazi enjoying dog shows so much. Iosono Mea della Mea was Best Female 3rd.

    Italian Greyhound Necku Iosono Vicenza showed like a dream handled by Inka and she was BOS puppy. Our Nala, Necku Iosono Verona was 2nd best Female puppy. The results and photos you can http://www.dlc.fi/~inka/clubshow04/">find here.

  • Necku Iosono Vicenza took part in Helsinki Sighthound Club's specialty 17th July and she was 2nd best puppy with Honour Prize. The judge was Monica Wall from Sweden.

  • Milla was BOB at Mäntsälä 11th July under Gunnel Holm. A day before Vespina's puppy Azalea (bred & owned by Annikki Peltola) was BOB at Mikkeli national show. Congrats to "Milla" and "Sohvi"!


    • Jazi

  • Bambi/Jazi became Triple Champion and Finnish Track Racing Champion!!!!!
    Bambi competed at track racing competition in Helsinki and gained CC-time (24,39 sec) and became Track Racing Champion. Jazi is the first Cirneco bitch who is Triple Champion and the third Triple Champion cirneco in the world. We are sooooooo proud of you, Jazi. :-)

  • There was a Derby & Veteran Track Racing Winner competition in Hyvinkää 4th July. Jazi won and gained the CC-time for the first time on this season but unfortunately the CC-time wasn't official because Jazi was the only Cirneco who took part in the competition. However, Jazi gained a new title VMR-04 - Veteran Track Racing Winner 2004.

  • Beautiful Ida (Necku Iosono Vicenza) started her show career by being BOS puppy in Helsinki 3rd July. It wasn't an IG weather - the show took place under a terrible rain. The judge was Matti Luoso.

  • Seela's puppy Napoli left for his new home in Japan. Good luck for the new homeland!



  • We have been several times into track racing practises with Nala. She shows great potential and enthusiasm after the lure. Good girl! :-)

  • Tähtisprintteri ("Star Sprinter") track racing competition 20.6. in Helsinki: Bambi was 2nd both in the first heat and finals. "Jazi's" time in the first heat was 24,55 sec - only 0,05 sec behind the CC-time (for the Cirnechi it is 24,50 sec / 280 m) and Triple Championship. Well, we'll continue to try getting the fifth and the last CC-time..

  • Jazi represented the Cirnechi together with Marte (Lansmarte) and Wiljo (Giltedged Inclination) in World Racing Championship competition in Tampere 12.-13.6. This was the first time ever when the Cirnechi ran at World Champion ship competition. Jazi became 3rd so she got WM bronze! :-) Congrats to WM-04 Wiljo!

  • Iosono Milla Magia and Iosono Aida di Verdi were competing each other at Jämsä national show 12.6. Judge Markku Mähönen finally chose Milla to win: Milla BOB and Venla Best Female 2nd. On the following day Milla was the only Iosono Cirneco at the show in Virkkala with an entry of 3 Cirnechi and she was BOB. Judge was Anneli Sutela.




    • May 2004

  • Lieto lure coursing competition 23.5: Mickey was 2nd with CQ points of 455. Bambi had a change to run only the first heat even though she was only a couple of points behind Mickey. Only two Cirnechi were taken into finals. So Bambi became third. ;-)

  • Bambi was 2nd with time 26.294 sec at Tampere track racing competition. Winner Lansmarte became Track racing Champion - congrats Christine & Marte!

  • Iosono Michelangelo aka Mickey and Bambi aka Jazi were invited to compete at Suomi Cup lure coursing competition 16th May. Mickey won with total points of 457 and gained his fifth and last CAC for Finnish Lure Coursing Champion title being the 3rd Cirneco ever in Scandinavia to gain this title! Mickey also gained CVM-04 title. Mickeys mother Jazi - who is also FIN LCH - became 2nd with 438 points and gained CQ.

  • Bambi was 3rd with 26,68 sec at track racing competition in Tampere 12th May. Congrats to Wiljo and breeder/owner Pia for Wiljo's track racing champion title!




    • April 2004

  • Iosono Milla Magia was BOB at Lahti International show 25.4.2004. Milla received CACIB which was the last one for her International Champion title (not yet confirmed by FCI). Vespina was Best Female 4th with r-CACIB. There were 7 Cirnechi at the show and judge was Pekka Teini. Congrats to Miss International Champion Milla and owners Marina and Ari for the great job!

  • We didn't get puppies.

  • 17.4.2004 Inka and Miki returned back to Finland from Verona, Italy where they lived since September 2003.

  • Italian Greyhound & Cirneco dell'Etna Club awarded our dogs with the following prizes:

  • Iosono Madam Mimwas BOB with CACIB and CAC at Latvia Winner Show 20.3.2004. Mimi is now Latvian Champion as well as Latvian Winner 2004 (LVW-04).

  • The Helsinki Sighthound Club awarded our dogs with the following prizes:

  • Congrats to Vespina's puppy Azalea (bred & owned by Annikki Peltola) by being BOB at Tampere International show.

  • Iosono Michelangelo won the Champion Class at the Cirneco specialty show in Grassobbio, Italy 14.3.2004. Judge was Marisa Durando Fassio, Italy. Also, congratulations to Jane Moore for the wonderful results of her beautiful dogs: BIS to Selene and BOS to Gufo.

  • Iosono Aida di Verdi alias Venla has been mated in Italy!

  • Jazi's daughter Iosono Milla Magia gave birth to 2 males and 2 females on Valentine's day. Congrats to Milla and the owners!

  • Iosono Aida di Verdi was BOB with CAC and CACIB at Tallinn Internatinal show in Estonia 8th of February 2004. This made "Venla" Estonian and International* Champion! (*not yet confirmed by FCI) Judge was Leni Nousiainen, Finland. Congratulations to our first INT Ch Venla and thank you so much owners Pinki & Raimo!



    January 2004

  • Iosono Madam Mim was BOB with CACIB out of three Cirnechi at Turku International show 24 of January 2004. Judge was Liliane de Ridder Onghena, Belgium. Congrats Mimi & Johanna!

  • We are living here in Verona (Italy) next to lake Garda together with Miki. Miki enjoys running free at wine yards daily. After walks he always has energy to play with Dolly the Bobtail. In April we will return back to Finland after living here in Italy since September.
