  • 21.12.2003: Welcome to our family our new-comer Nala!

  • Vespina was BOB at Nordic Winner show held in Stockholm, Sweden 14.12.2003. Annikki Peltola's male Giltedged Implication was BOS with third NORDW title in a row. Congratulations Annikki!!!

  • Mickey and I are back in Finland. We'll return back to Italy in the middle of January.

  • The prestigious Winner show was held in Helsinki on 6th December 2003. Iosono Milla Magia was BOS with CACIB and gained Finnish Winner 2003 title. The judge was Jarmo Vuorinen, Finland.

  • We took part in Padova International show in Italy 29.11.2003. Iosono Michelangelo gained BOS with CACIB under Giuseppe Alessandra, Italy! BOB was Mickey's halfsister Patti.

  • Iosono Milla Magia went to International show held in Riga, Latvia on the 23rd November. She gained BOB, CACIB and CAC and became Latvian and Baltic Champion!

  • Norwegian Winner Show 22.11.2003: Vespina was BOS with Norwegian Winner 2003 title! BOB was Giltedged Implicaton (also owned by Annikki Peltola). There were 1 male and 3 females. Judge was Marija Kavcic, Slovenia.

  • Three cirneco dell'Etna participated in Jyväskylä International dog show in the 16 of November. Iosono Milla Magia was BOB with CACIB. Iosono Aida di Verdi gained res-CACIBin. Judge was Rudi Brandt from Denmark.

  • We congratulate Vespina's daughter Azalea (bred & owned by Annikki Peltola) who was BIS-3 puppy at the first show of hers!!

    Seela In Memoriam 24.9.1999 - 2.11.2003.
    Seela died of symphtomless uterine inflammation. The puppies are doing fine with "artificial mother" Nappi the Tibetan Spaniel. We miss you Seela so much...

  • Iosono Aina Ilona's Italian Champion title is finally confirmed by ENCI, Italian Kennel Club. Ilona gained the last CAC for Champion title October 2002.

  • Iosono Milla Magia passed temperament test with approved result! To our knowledge Milla is the first and only temperament tested Cirneco in the world.


    • Seela 23rd October

  • 23.10.2003: Seela gave birth to 5 puppies, 2 males and 3 females in October 29th. Breeder of the puppies is http://www.necku.com">Teija Urpelainen, kennel Necku.

  • Two shows were held in Seinajoki during one weekend 25th and 26th October. Iosono Milla Magia was BOB at both shows. Judges were Rainer Vuorinen and Soile Bister (Finland).

  • 23.10.2003: Seela left for her breeder Teija Urpelainen for momma holiday.

  • Iosono Aida di Verdi was BOS with CACIB at Oulu INT show October 12, 2003. Judge was Kurt Nilsson, Sweden.

  • Inka and Iosono Michelangelo aka Mickey took part in Vicenza national show in Italy 5th October, 2003. Mickey won Open Class with excellent and was BOB! The judge was Ernesto Capra (Italy).

  • 6th October, 2003: Seela the Italian Greyhound is certainly pregnant! Italian Greyhound puppies expectd at Necku kennel 31st October, 2003! Read more on the puppy site.

  • Bambi aka Jazi participated at HVK Lure Coursing competition 27th September 2003 and gained the worst points ever, 182 points. Jazi lost the lure also for the first time in her life at the end of the race. With these points Jazi didn't get into finals. However, the main point was that Jazi had fun! The winner of the competition was Giltedged Inclination excellently with LCCAC and the 2nd was Lansmarte with CQ-points. Congrats! :)

  • Iosono Milla Magia took part in Eckero International Show held in Aland. Milla was BOB with CACIB. The judge was Marija Kavcic from Slovenia.

  • Bambi competited in Kuninkuusjuoksu track racing competition. She became second with time 23.40 sec (CC-time). Time was only 00.01 sec worse than in her previous competition.

  • Best wishes from Verona (Italy). I moved here in September. I'll stay here over winter 2003-2004. Regards, Inka & Mickey.

  • Iosono Milla Magia was BOB at Porvoo show in 13th September, 2003. There were 2 Cirnechi. The judge was Paolo Dondina.

  • Bambi participated in HVK Cup track racing competition. Jazi was the last one out of three Cirnechi with her new record time 23.39 sec (also CC-time). The winner was Lansmarte (22.95 sec) and the second was Giltedged Inclination (23.12 sec).


    • Mickey & Jazi at Finnish Lure Coursing Master Championship competition

  • Bambi and Iosono Michelangelo participated in Finnish Lure Coursing Master Championship competition. Mickey won with excellent points of 489 and gained CQ and new title SMM-03 (Finnish Lure Coursing Master 2003). Jazi became 2nd with points of 424 and CQ.

  • Our Italian Greyhound Necku C'est Cela was mated to INT Ch Peppone vom Pellerschloss in August 29, 2003. The breeder of the litter is Teija Urpelainen (kennel Necku). Very much thanks Saveria! More information about the puppies at kennel Necku.

  • Iosono Milla Magia became Finnish Champion (and EST Ch, too) at Vantaa national show AUgust 30, 2003. Milla was also BOB. Iosono Madam Mim won Champion class with excellent in the same show.

    Veteran Lure Coursing Competition in August 2003: Lansmarte with blue and Bambi with red jacket

  • Our dogs had a nice weekend! On Saturday 23.8.2003 we participated with Bambi at Veteran Lure Coursing Master Competition at Pornainen. Jazi won the competition with nice points of 451 and gained CQ and new title VMM-03 (Veteran Master of Lure Coursing 2003)!

    At the same day 23.8. Iosono Madam Mim was BOS at Kouvola under Arne Foss from Norway.

    Also, Iosono Milla Magia was at BaltianWinner show in Tallinn (Estonia). And with excellent results: BOB, CAC, CACIB and Baltic Winner 2003 title.

    On Sunday 24.8.2003 Iosono Madam Mim participated at Heinola show and won Champion Class with excellent.




  • Three Cirneco dell'Etnas participated Vaasa International Show 17th August. Iosono Michelangelo was BOB and Iosono Mea della Mea BOS. Both gained CACIB. Iosono Aida di Verdi aka Venla had to settle res-CACIB. The Cirnechi were judged by Mona Selbach, Norway. We stayed night at Venla's family, thank you very much Pinki for hosting us!

  • One Cirneco took part at Aura national show Auran näyttelyyn 16th August, 2003. Despite the terrible rain, Iosono Madam Mim took BOB, CAC and she became Finnish Champion! Lots of congratulations Johanna and Mimi!!!

  • An International Lure Coursing competition was held at Osara (near Tampere) 9th August. We took with us the Cirnechi Mickey and Jazi and the Italian Greyhounds Seela and Marru (owned by Tarja Matikainen).

    Mickey did the best with our dogs; he won fourth LC competition in a row and gained his 4th LC CAC. Only one LC CAC is needed for the Champion title but we have to wait till next year because five CAC are needed from two different years. Mickey's points were 444. Jazi was second after his son and gained CQ-points 417.

    The IG girls didn't have much succes. Seela competed at national LC competition (two participants). This time it wasn't Seela's day, she just left her run in the middleway and gained only 137 points and didn't get into finals. Marru became 5th out of 7 IGs.

  • Vespina's International Champion title has been confirmed by FCI. Thank you and congratulations Annikki!!

  • Iosono Milla Magia took part in Palanga International dog show in Lithuania 3rd August, 2003. Milla was BOB with CAC and CACIB. In the group ring Milla was placed as BIG-3!

  • Of course a dog show was added to our summer cottage trip at Rauma 3rd August. Inka and her sister Heidi went there with Mickey and Mea. Mickey, Iosono Michelangelo was BOB with CAC and he became Finnish Champion! Mickey's sis Mea, Iosono Mea della Mea, was BOB with CAC and also new Champion! Cirnechi were judged by Agnes Ganami Kertes from Israel.

  • We spent a nice weekend at Mikkeli (a city by a lake Saimaa in the middle Finland). On Saturday 26th July Mickey, Jazi and Seela took part in a lure coursing competition. The track was quite difficult especially to small-sized dogs because grass was a bit too long and some dogs had difficulties to see the lure. Otherwise the place was wonderful. There was a beach very near the LC place and we took our dogs to swim. Jazi liked swimming but Seela who normally likes to go to water didn't want to go this time. Our Mickey went to water for the first time in his live and he was quite excited at this new experience!

    Back to the LC competition.. Mickey won the Cirnechi and gained his 3rd LC certificate! Jazi gained the second place. The highlight of the day was when Seela won the IGs and gained her 3rd CAC! Five CACs are needed for the Finnish LC Champion title.

    On the following day on Sunday 27th July was held Mikkeli International Show. Three Cirnechi were entered and the breed was judged by Unto Timonen (Woodbrooks whippets). We had entered Mea in the show and she took everything: BOB, CAC and CACIB! Milla got res-CAC and res-CACIB. BOS was Gelion Seta del Oro (owned by Cristina Andersson).

  • On Sunday 27th July we celebrated our M litter's 2nd birthday. Congrats Edi, Mea, Mickey, Milla ja Mimi!!

  • At Helsinki national show 26th July Milla gained res-CAC. BOB was Kimblewick Evviva Amore. The judge was Marja Talvitie, Finland.

  • Our puppy plans are postponed to the next year because Inka is going to Italy and she is going to stay there for a year. Venla Iosono Aida di Verdi should be mated around March 2004 to May 2004 so the 3rd Iosono Cirneco dell'Etna litter would be born in summer 2004. !

  • Italian Greyhound & Cirneco dell'Etna Club of Finland arranged a specialty for its breeds on 20th July, 2003. There were 16 IGs and 5 Cirnechi. Judge was Markku Mähönen. No need to say more, check out the results!

  • Helsinki Sighthound Club's specialty was held 19th July, 2003. The Cirnechi (7 entered) was judged by Maria Teresa Durando Fassio from Italy. Milla, Iosono Milla Magia, was BOB and gained CAC. At group competition she went BIG-4!! Mickey, Iosono Michelangelo, won his class and gained CAC. Mea, Iosono Mea della Mea, won her class, too, and gained reserve-CAC. Mickey and Mea competeted in the brace competition and judge Mary Parker (GB) placed them BIS 2 brace!

  • Finnish Sighthound Club's annual specialty at Jyväskylä 12th July. Four Cirnechi were entered and the Cirnechi were judged by Helmut Nigl, Austria. Iosono Milla Magia won her class and became BOB and gained CAC. Iosono Mea della Mea, became second one in her class and gained reserve-CAC.

  • Chrisse Löfgren travelled to track racing competition with Lansmarte and our Jazi. There were held Veteran race Champion competition at Tampere th July. Marte won with time 23,45 sec. Jazi became second with time 24,09 sec that is her 4th CC-time from track racing.




    • Tuomarinkartano 2.7.2003 Jazi running with blue jacket and Wiljo (Giltedged Inclination) is wearing the red jacket.

  • Jazi participated in track racing competition held at Helsinki on 2nd July, 2003. Three cirnechi participated in the competition and this was propably the first time in the world when SO many cirnechi took part in track racing competition. Jazi became second with time 23,78 sec / 280 meter. Pia Friman's Giltedged Inclination won (this was his first competition!) and Chrisse Löfgren's Lansmarte became third one.

  • There was arranged a national show at Pori 29th June. Iosono Aida di Verdi took part at it and became BOB. The judge was Lena Stålhandske from Sweden.

  • Iosono Milla Magia was BOB at Laukaa national show 15th June. The breed judge was Esko Nummijärvi, Finland.

  • Happy birthday dear Jazi on 15th June, 2003, you are 6 years old!
    Jazi got propably the best possible birthday gift - she had a change to chase a lure. We participated a track racing competition at Hyvinkää. Jazi became second one with time 24,31 sec (CC-time) and she was so pleased. :-) Marte (Lansmarte, owned by Chrisse Löfgren) won the competition with time 23,41 sec and he became Tähtisprintteri 2003.

  • Three Cirnechi participated at Estonian Winners show at Tallinn 5th June, 2003. Iosono Milla Magia wsa BOB with CAC and CACIB and became Estonian Winner 2003. Iosono Madam Mim gained excellent and placed second one in her class. The Cirnechi were judged by Mart Mae, Estonia.



    • Jabadabaduu! Jazi became dual Champion!!

    		Jazi (Bambi) won and gained her 5th Lure Coursing certificate at Talma LC competition on the 1st June, 2003 and she became Finnish Lure Coursing Champion! Giltedged Inclination (owned by Pia Friman) was 2nd.

    At the same competition our Italian Greyhound Seela (Necku C'est Cela) was the second and gained LC CAC, too!! The winner of the competition (Seela's halfbrother Tarumetsän Hopeakuu, owned by Eeva Kallio) was already a Champion so the CAC was transferred to Seela. There were four IGs.

    And congratulations to Sloughi Jaraa Shi'Rayan and her owner Tarja Matikainen for Jaraa's fifth LC CAC and ANOTHER lure coursing champion! Jaraa and Tarja travelled with us to the competition. We had quite a nice load of dogs in the car - three dogs, three CAC winners and two new Lure Coursing Champions!




    World Winner Show at Dortmund, Germany on the 29th May, 2003

  • We participated the World show held in Dortmund, Germany. We drove the whole way from Finland to Germany (through Sweden and Denmark). There were four people (Arja Pellinen, Leena Vessman, Sara Hostikka and me) and five dogs (Cirnechi Iosono Michelangelo & Iosono Mea della Mea and the Ibizan Hounds Snout Michel Platini, Snout Never Heard and Snout Ziggy Stardust) with us.

    The Cirnechi were judged by Norman Huidobro Corbet. I had entered our Mickey and Mea in the show. They both were placed second in open class and they both gained res-CACs and res-VDHs (exc.2. r-CAC r-VDH). Thank you my friend Sara Hostikka who presented Mea in the show!

    The competition at the Cirneco ring was very international. 1 cirneco arrived from Italy, 3 from Germany, 3 from France, 2 from Finland, 2 from Sweden, 1 from Slovenia, 1 from Norway and 1 from Belgium. BOB and World Winner 2003 was Treos (owned by Andrea Sozzo, Italy). Female's World Winner 2003 was Queen (owned by Gaby Bergmann, Germany). Junior World Winners were Red Hawk's Adriano (bred & owned by Marita & Thomas Aarås, Sweden) and Douamoutef T'Nefer Titi (bred & owned by Didier, France). Congratulations to all the winners!

    Ibizan Hound Snout Michel Platini gained World Winner title, Snout Never Heard Junior World Winner title and Snout Ziggy Stardust gained res-CACIB, CAC and VDH.

  • Erja spent the same day when we were in Germany at track racing competition with Jazi (Bambi) in Hyvinkää (Finland). Jazi and Marte (Lansmarte, owned by Chrisse Löfgren) participated in the competition. Cirnechi run 280 meters on oval track race in Finland. Marte won with excellent time 23,25 s. Jazi became second with time 24,46. They both passed under the time limit (24,50 s) and gained their first track racing CACs. You need five track racing times (under 24,50 s) from two different seasons to become a track racing champions.

  • The weather was very variable at Lieto Lure Coursing Competition on 25th May, 2003. All of our three dogs participated in the competition. At the first heat Bambi "Jazi" was leading with the points of 227. Iosono Michelangelo "Mickey" was the second with the points of 226. Giltedged Inclination was the third with the points of 221. Unfortunately ONLY two Cirnechi were taken into finals even though the points were almost similar. In the finals Mickey was a bit better than Jazi, he gained 228 points and Jazi 223. So Mickey won the competition and gained his second LC CAC.
    The results:
    1. Iosono Michelangelo 226+228=454 LC CAC
    2. Bambi 227 + 223 = 450 CQ

    Our Italian Greyhound Necku C'est Cela "Seela" gained gorgeus 222 points and she was the third out of five IGs. The organizers used the same method with the IGs and they took only two best IGs into finals.


  • Helsinki national show 24.5.2003 Iosono Milla Magia took BOB and her sixth CAC (nowadays a dog under 2 year can receive as many CAC as possible in Finland). Judge Djorde Tesic wrote this critique about Milla:
    "Perfect. This female has everything what standard is asking for this breed. Excellent presentatation. Typical movement. Female with a lot of proudness."
    Milla's sister Iosono Mea della Mea gained excellent and was second in her class behind Milla.


  • Iosono Madam Mim visited Latvian Winner Show in Latvia 18th May, 2003. She had a perfect day over there, BOB, CAC, CACIB and Latvian Winner 2003 title. The judge was Kurt Nilsson from Sweden. Congratulations Johanna and Mimi!

  • Four Cirnechi competed in Ridasjärvi lure coursing competition 17th May, 2003. It was quite a chilly and rainy weather. Fortunately the rain stopped during the final heat. Well, the chilly weather didn't bother the Cirnechi because the judges thought that the Cirnechi were one of today's best breed in the competition!

    Our Mickey (Iosono Michelangelo) totally surprised us by winning the competition with the gorgeus points of 498! He was the BEST DOG IN FIELD AMONG ALL BREEDS just in his second competition!!! Mickey gained first CAC. Her mother Jazi (Bambi) became second with the points of 451 and CQ The third one Wiljo (Giltedged Inclination) was only two points away (449) from Jazi. The fourth was Marte (Lansmarte) with the points of 436.

    Italian Greyhound Seela (Necku C'est Cela) competed in her first competition this year. She ran greatly the first heat and gained 240 points. At the final heat she stopped her racing for some reason only 100 meters before the finish but still she gained 164 points. Seela became third out of four IGs and her total points were 404 and as she gained over 400 points she gained CQ. :)

  • We spent a nice sunny day at Lahti Lure Coursing competition. We entered two of our dogs: Bambi became second with the points of 214+207=421 and she gained CQ with these points. Iosono Michelangelo became the third at his first LC competition ever with the points of 222+195=417 CQ.


  • 26.4.2003: Iosono Milla Magia was BOB out of three Cirnechi at Lahti international Show. Milla gained third CACIB and CAC. The judge was Kari Salminen.

  • 18.4.2003: Bambi won also the award of Italian Greyhound & Cirneco dell'Etna Club of Finland for the best lure coursing Cirneco of the year 2002! Seela was fourth in Italian Greyhounds' year 2002 lure coursing competition. At the show competition Iosono Milla Magia became the 2nd, Iosono Michelangelo became the 5th, Vespina the 7th, Iosono Aida di Verdi the 8th (with the same points than Vespina) and Iosono Madam Mim the 10th.

  • 27th March was held Helsinki Sighthound Club's spring meeting. Bambi was awarded with the prize of Best Lure Courser Cirneco dell'Etna 2002!

  • Cirneco dell'Etna Specialty & Hunting trial in Grassobbio, Italy, 16th March 2003
    I spent a nice weekend in Italy filled with lots of cirnechi things. I participated with Iosono Aina Ilona in the specialty show and hunting trial. The specialty was judged by Vincenzo Todaro and Ilona gained excellent 1 in Open Class. In hunting trial Ilona gained "excellent" and she was the fourth best. Hunting trial was judged by Gaetano Toscano.

  • Tampere International Show 15th March, 2003, judged by Kirsi Laamanen (Finland). Seven cirnechi were prensented.
    Iosono Aida di Verdi took BOB and gained CACIB. Iosono Milla Magia got CAC and res-CACIB. Iosono Madam Mim got res-CAC. Our breeder's group was BOB.

  • Iosono Aida di Verdi "Venla" had a wonderful weekend at two international dog shows at Vilnius, Lithuania. On the first day 8th March Venla gained CAC, CACIB and BOB! She became Lithuanian Champion as well as Lithuanian Winner 2003. On the following day 9th Venla gained CACIB, CAC and BOB again and gained a title Vilnius Winner 2003. Thank you Pinki for bringing Venla to the shows and well done you two!

  • Our Italian Greyhound Necku C'est Cela obtained Finnish Champion title at Kaarina specialty show 2nd March, 2003!!! Seela was BOB out of 4 IG's and gained the last CAC for Championship. The judge was Iren Naarits from Estonia.

  • Cirneco dell'Etna Iosono Milla Magia was awarded for the Best Show Dog of 2002 of Elimäki dog club!!

  • Iosono Milla Magia gained CACIB at Imatra International show on 15th February, 2003. Judge was Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen, Finland

  • Vespina was awarded for second winning cirneco of Sweden and the most winning bitch with 18 points in 2002.


  • Iosono Milla Magia was BOB at Turku INT show 26th January 2003. Milla gained CACIB and CAC. Iosono Madam Mim's result was exc.2. with res-CAC. The Cirnechi were judged by Marianne Baden from Denmark. One male and four females were entered so our dogs did very well at the show. ;-)
